Rustic Garden or Deck Chair. -- All Teak Wood from Ship's Beams. No Nails
Share on:
We affectionately call this our "OOGA BOOGA" Chair. We bought it over 10 years ago, but it hasn't been used for the last 5 years, just sitting in the shed. We think that it may have been constructed by Native Canadians.
This chair would be called "PRIMITIVE ART" by a lot of artists. There are NO NAILS in this chair. All the pieces are held together by wedges and dowelling. This chair is made entirely of teak wood salvaged from a wooden ship. It needs $15.00 spent on it to stain it as some of the wood has faded, and we want to leave that choice of stain up to the next owner..
The main Spine (back) of the chair is 64" high, 9.5" wide, and is 3" thick. The seat is 23" wide, 18" off the ground, and is 21" deep. The wood on the seat, and on the rest of the chair is approx. 2" to 3" thick.
This "OOGA BOOGA" chair is extremely heavy, and usually takes two people to carry it around the yard or deck.
This chair is very comfortable to sit in, and it goes without saying that it is a great conversation piece. It is jokingly called "sitting on a throne" by friends. It would look great with a fresh coat of stain on it, and then sitting on a deck or in the corner of a flower garden.
I can guarantee you that your neighbours won't have one of these sitting in their garden or on their deck!!!
THE FIRST OFFER CLOSE TO $350.00 gets this unique piece. For more information, please phone 519-386-9482. Thanx.
